Take the last right before you get to Batu Bolong Beach (the road opposite Old Man’s Bar), follow the road down to the end and you’ll find Old man’s. There is free parking for scooters but not much space for cars so if you drive it could be better to park at Batu Bolong and walk down. As always, be careful about leaving things in your scooter. You can rent board from the shack by the spot. For a post surf chill, it’s an easy walk straight from the sea to ‘The Lawn’ where you can relax on the grass and sip a cold coconut to cool down after a good session. There is a well defined channel to paddle straight out into the right on most days. At lower tides, the left can often turn into a racey barrel. Old man’s is a great spot for beginners, intermediate and advanced surfers.
